About This Project

Earthquake Engineering Research Facility

This research facility at the University of British Columbia is designed to test the behaviour of structures subjected to seismic forces. It is a living laboratory: the building’s structural system is integrated into the seismic testing and pedestrian level glazing encourages passers-by to witness the experiments.
